Construction will occur on the Port’s waterfront property near 59 Riverside Drive, with work expected to continue through the fall. Please be advised that the area near 59 Riverside Drive will experience a significant increase in heavy equipment, truck traffic, and construction activity throughout the coming months.

To ensure safety during construction, we kindly ask visitors to avoid walking or driving on port property unless absolutely necessary. Please follow all posted signs and stay clear of restricted areas and active construction zones.

Walkers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as the new section of the Trans Canada Trail across from the port on Riverside Drive, which offers a safer and more peaceful experience.

New Warehouse Facility at Corner Brook Port to Enhance Trade and Storage Solutions

Corner Brook, NL – March 13, 2025 – The Corner Brook Port Corporation (CBPC) is expanding its infrastructure with the development of a warehouse facility on the Port’s waterfront property located on Riverside Drive. Designed to enhance logistics, storage, and distribution capabilities, the facility will serve businesses across the region. This project is being funded through a partnership with Transport Canada under the National Trade Corridors Fund (NTCF) and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador as part of the Corporation’s 2019 initiative aimed to enhance operational efficiency. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2025, with the facility expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by fall.

Strategically located in a prime location on the waterfront at the Port of Corner Brook, adjacent to the Western Terminal container yard, the warehouse will offer tenants seamless access to the Mediterranean Shipping Company’s year-round international container shipping service, providing a direct link to global markets. Additionally, the facility is situated just 5 km from the Trans-Canada Highway, offering ideal access to major transportation routes that will benefit industries relying on both sea and land-based logistics. The facility will offer versatile storage options, tailored to meet the specific needs of various industries, making it an ideal hub for sectors such as manufacturing, construction, renewable energy, forestry, mining, logistics, and wholesale operations.

The 24,000 square foot facility will feature four independent warehouse spaces, each designed with ceiling heights of approximately five meters, one dock loading door equipped with bumpers and a dock leveler, dedicated office and washroom space, and various other amenities.
