Port of Corner Brook prepares for upcoming Warehouse Construction  

Corner Brook, NL, May 2, 2025 — The Corner Brook Port Corporation (CBPC) is pleased to announce that Streamline Management will begin construction on a new multi-unit warehouse facility this month. Construction will occur on the Port’s waterfront property near 59 Riverside Drive, with work expected to continue through the fall. This new facility will play a key role in enhancing the Port’s capacity and supporting local businesses, contributing to the continued growth and prosperity of the region.

This project marks another exciting step in the Port’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and support future growth in trade and logistics.

As a reminder, leasing opportunities are still available for businesses seeking efficient storage, optimized supply chain solutions, and streamlined import/export operations. Safety Reminder

As construction begins, we want to ensure the safety of everyone who enjoys the Port of Corner Brook’s waterfront. Please be advised that the area near 59 Riverside Drive will experience a significant increase in heavy equipment, truck traffic, and construction activity throughout the coming months.

To ensure safety during construction, we kindly ask visitors to avoid walking or driving on port property unless absolutely necessary. Please follow all posted signs and stay clear of restricted areas and active construction zones.

Walkers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as the new section of the Trans Canada Trail across from the port on Riverside Drive, which offers a safer and more peaceful experience.

Call for Expressions of Interest – Musical Entertainment

As part of the Port of Corner Brook’s Cruise Welcome Program, we are looking for talented musicians to elevate our dockside experience and provide entertainment for our cruise guests. Performance durations, typically ranging from 2 to 4 hours, will be determined by passenger capacity and the ship’s arrival and departure schedule.

If you are interested in performing at our dockside market for the 2025 season, please submit your application by April 24, either by email or in person at Suite 201, RA Pollett Building, 61 Riverside Drive.

Call for Proposals – Cruise Shuttle Bus Service

The Corner Brook Port Corporation (CBPC) invites proposals from qualified transportation companies to provide a shuttle service for the 2025 cruise season. The complimentary shuttle service for cruise passengers and crew operates between the port and downtown Corner Brook, providing round-trip transportation. The number of buses booked for each cruise ship depends on the total number of passengers onboard based on ship capacity as outlined in Appendix A (attached). The shuttle bus service will commence approximately 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time and end approximately one hour before the scheduled departure time.

Proposals must be submitted by email, fax, or in person at Suite 201, RA Pollett Building, 61 Riverside Drive by April 17, 2025.

Call for Expressions of Interest – Market Vendor

The Corner Brook Port Corporation is committed to creating a robust market with inspired entrepreneurs, marketing and selling a versatile mix of products so that we provide the best experience for cruise passengers.

The port has seven sheds of two different sizes: four 12’x12’ and three 12’x16’. All sheds are equipped with electricity, windows, and two entrances. The seasonal rate is $1,662+HST for a 12’x12′ shed and $2,502+HST for a 12’x16′ shed.

The project will focus on modernizing the Port’s image, strengthening its global presence, and enhancing its community impact. It aims to position the Port as a key player in the maritime industry while fostering stronger connections with stakeholders and the local community.

Key components of the initiative include:

  • A full rebrand of the Port’s identity
  • Development of a modern, user-friendly website
  • Creation of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy
  • Design of updated collateral, signage, and an outdoor digital display
  • Production of high-quality promotional assets

The project will focus on maximizing the Port’s presence at industry events and establishing innovative marketing strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement.
